Quality management · assessment and certification
ISO 9001 certification. Built on how your system works.
iCertify assesses quality management systems and issues its own unaccredited ISO 9001 certificates. We can review the gaps, help you improve processes and test the evidence across your agreed scope. If a customer or tender requires accredited certification, an iCertify certificate will not meet that requirement.

Start with the system you have.
ISO 9001 certification involves a quality management system that meets the agreed edition of the standard and works in day-to-day practice. iCertify can assess the system and make its own unaccredited certification decision. The work depends on your scope, sites, processes and the evidence already available.
Our starting point is a scoped readiness review. We look at your current arrangements against ISO 9001 and your intended certification scope, then document strengths, gaps and priority actions. This helps you plan the work and decide when an internal audit will be most useful. We can also scope implementation support for process mapping, practical documented arrangements, responsibilities and evidence capture. Where we have helped build a system, audit roles and safeguards are agreed to preserve objectivity.
You can engage us whether you are building a system for the first time, have an assessment approaching or need to recover momentum after a previous finding. We agree the exact review, certificate type and deliverables before work starts. See the current ISO 9001 edition and certification guidance.
A practical sequence
From first review to certification assessment.
These steps can be tailored to your current system, standard edition and agreed scope.
1. Define your scope
Clarify the products or services, sites, processes and ISO standard you want the system to cover.
2. Review the gaps
Compare current processes and evidence with the standard. Record what works and prioritise what needs attention.
3. Check implementation
Use an objective internal audit and management review to test whether the system is operating as intended before a certification assessment.
Who we help
The right review for your stage.
- Starting ISO 9001: establish the scope and assess your existing processes before creating more documents.
- Preparing for assessment: check whether records and practice support what the system says.
- Maintaining certification: review changes, corrective actions and evidence before surveillance or recertification.
Based in Far North Queensland, we work with organisations in Brisbane, Cairns and regional Queensland, Melbourne and regional Victoria, and elsewhere in Australia. Remote review and on-site sampling can be combined where the agreed scope calls for it.
Common questions
What to know before you start.
Can iCertify issue an ISO 9001 certificate?
Yes. iCertify issues its own unaccredited certificates for the assessed standard and scope. This is not a JAS-ANZ accredited certificate. If accredited certification is specified in a contract or tender, confirm the requirement with the buyer and use an appropriately accredited body.
Which edition of ISO 9001 applies?
ISO published ISO 9001:2026 in September 2026. Confirm the edition to be assessed and any transition requirements for an existing certificate before work begins. See ISO's 2026 overview.
How much does ISO 9001 certification cost?
It depends on the current system, scope, sites, assessment and any implementation support. Ask iCertify for a quote for its unaccredited route. An accredited body will quote separately if that is the route you need.
How long does it take to become certified?
That depends on the maturity of your system, implementation evidence and the actions arising from assessment. A gap review helps you plan a realistic sequence; it cannot guarantee a date or outcome.
Do you support ISO 14001 or ISO 45001 as well?
Yes. We can scope environmental and health and safety system gap assessments and internal audits, including integrated systems. Share the standards and sites you are considering.
