ISO certification in Australia. Know what your certificate means.
iCertify assesses management systems and issues its own unaccredited certificates for the agreed ISO standard and scope, including ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO 22000. We can help identify gaps and improve the system. An iCertify certificate is not an accredited certificate. If a customer or tender specifies accreditation, check that requirement before choosing this route.

Which ISO certification do you need?
Start with the outcome your clients or tender documents require. A combined management system may cover more than one standard.
ISO 9001 — quality
For consistent delivery, customer requirements and improvement in a quality management system.
ISO 9001 support ↗ISO 14001 — environment
For environmental aspects, obligations, controls, objectives and evidence that the system works.
ISO 14001 support ↗ISO 45001 — health and safety
For a system that manages work health and safety risks, worker participation and operational controls.
ISO 45001 support ↗ISO/IEC 27001 — information security
For identifying information security risks, selecting controls and testing an information security management system.
ISO/IEC 27001 support ↗ISO 22000 — food safety
For food safety hazards, prerequisite programmes, operational controls and a food safety management system across the food chain.

Which certificate route fits?
The word “certified” alone does not tell you whether the certificate a customer will accept must be accredited. Ask for the exact wording before paying for an assessment.
Accreditation is specified
Choose a certification body accredited for the required standard and scope. iCertify's own certificate will not meet an accredited-certificate requirement.
Unaccredited is accepted
Discuss iCertify's assessment criteria, assessor competence, scope and decision process. Confirm the buyer accepts an iCertify-issued certificate in writing.
You need to improve first
Start with a gap assessment or internal audit to identify what the system can demonstrate. This is separate from a certificate decision.
How it works
From current practice to a certification decision.
The work should reflect how your organisation operates. A certificate alone will not keep an ineffective system working.
Define the standard and scope
Tell us the standard, edition, activities, sites and why you need the certificate. Confirm whether your buyer requires accreditation.
Assess gaps and improve
Review processes and evidence, address gaps and use the system long enough to demonstrate how it works in practice.
Review implementation
Management review and an objective internal audit can expose issues that need correction before a certification assessment.
Assessment and certificate
iCertify assesses the agreed scope and makes its own certification decision. An iCertify certificate is unaccredited. Ask us to explain the assessment and decision process before proceeding.
Our role
Certification and practical knowledge together.
iCertify can scope an assessment and issue an unaccredited certificate, as well as help develop or improve your management system. Support is tailored to the work required; it is not a generic document pack. Before buying, ask us about the assessment criteria, certificate scope, decision process and how any advisory work is handled.
Craig D’Souza leads iCertify with experience in lead auditing and accreditation assessment. We are developing an AI-supported workflow to organise evidence, highlight possible gaps and streamline updates. Human assessors will check source records and retain responsibility for findings and certificate decisions. See our intended responsible AI safeguards and our certification knowledge page.
Already certified? A focused readiness review or internal audit may be a better starting point before your next assessment.
Before you commit
Questions buyers often ask.
Does iCertify issue an ISO certificate?
Yes. iCertify issues its own unaccredited management system certificates for the standard and scope assessed. The certificate is issued by iCertify, not by ISO, JAS-ANZ or an accredited certification body.
Will an iCertify certificate satisfy a tender?
Only if the buyer accepts an unaccredited certificate. Some buyers specify accreditation or a named scheme. Read the tender requirements and confirm acceptance with the buyer before choosing a certification route.
How much does ISO certification cost in Australia?
There is no single price. The assessment and any support depend on the number of standards, sites, processes and what your organisation already has in place. If you need an accredited certificate, obtain a separate quote from an accredited body.
How long does ISO certification take?
It depends on the current system, implementation evidence, resources and findings. A gap assessment helps establish a realistic plan; no certificate or date can be promised before assessment.
Can we combine standards?
Shared management processes can be considered together, while the specific evidence for quality, environment, safety, information security and food safety remains clear. Ask which standards, editions and sites the proposed certificate will cover.
Will AI decide whether we get a certificate?
No. We intend to use AI and workflow technology to help organise evidence and flag questions. A person will review the source material, assess findings and make iCertify's unaccredited certificate decision. We will agree how your records may be used before processing them with AI.
